Ocean of Silence

Oh, silence you are beautiful.

You are like a muted ocean crashing upon cliff walls

A heavy blanket that warm the coldness in my soul

Motionless energy that hums with life.

I lay in silence but the thumping

of my sleepy heart;

Awaiting for a new dawn of deeds

to be done and made.

New dreams to be wrung,

Grateful I am for I breathe!

Though I have a heavy mind

I think, and I feel the people within arms reach.

Melancholy they may be

Raged at some point of the day

Brightened at some way

Life is lived I say.

Silence,

I am thankful for the peace you give me

When a day is done

And a part of the world is asleep.

You are the kindness I seek

In a world wrought with noise.

You are the darkness I yearn

When brightness seems too bleak

My Friend, to whom I will always speak.
